Katie Ward, broker brings a 25 year background of successful business ownership, management and marketing, national franchise development and real estate investment/development to our office. She is also an avid outdoor enthusiast who enjoys hiking, bow hunting, rifle hunting, photography, horseback riding and gardening. Katie worked in marketing both locally and nationally for 15 years prior to her success in real estate. This marketing background includes five years of newspaper marketing with Lee Enterprises beginning in 1983, seven years of marketing with Western Broadcasting Company, Sign Pro Inc, and Sign Marketing Group representing Sign Pro “franchises” as New Media Divisions to radio, television and newspaper companies across America. Katie’s over 130 locations in over 40 states include such clients as The Chicago Tribune Company, Phoenix Newspapers, The Orange County Register, Clear Channel Radio Stations, Sungroup Radio Stations and many more large and small media companies. Katie has extensive experience in target marketing through database management, telemarketing, signage and corporate presentations.
Katie’s areas of specialty include recreational and investment property, commercial, liquor licenses/bar sales, development land, and Montana ranches.
Kathi Olson, Sales Associate, GRI, Kathi brings a 30+ year background with involvement in business, history and art – specifically, for profit and non-profit management, marketing, livability planning and franchise development. Kathi’s experience includes 6 years of management/marketing at Missoula’s art and historical museums, 6 years of management/design/cartography/cultural planning in the Missoula planning office, 8 years of national marketing/business development with Sign Marketing Group representing Sign Pro franchises as new media divisions to radio, television and newspaper throughout the United States and 3 years of sales/marketing with a technology company. Throughout this timeframe, Kathi has served as a consultant in both the public and private sector working in marketing, business development, sales and marketing education, fund-raising/grant writing, freelance design, cartography, historic preservation and research (district and individual nominations to the National Register of Historic Places) and assisting in community comprehensive plans. Kathi has extensive experience in target marketing through database management, direct sales, and telemarketing. Throughout her 33 years in Missoula, Kathi has served on a variety of local and regional Boards as a Director. She has in-depth knowledge of Missoula and Western Montana derived from her experiences in her professional and personal life. Kathi joined Broker, Katie Ward, as a sales associate in 2004.
